Alyssa Newman has been working with children and families for over 10 years. She received her Masters of Human Development and Family Studies from Central Michigan in 2015 and her Masters of Social Work from Northern Kentucky University in 2023. Alyssa is from Michigan but has spent the last 12 years in Washington, DC working with children of all ages, youth in the foster care system, and youth in the juvenile justice system.
Alyssa enjoys working with children and teens of all ages, families, adults and couples. Her approach to therapy focuses on teamwork and helping her clients to feel confident in themselves and their goals. She focuses on her client's strengths and. empowers them. She has specialized experience in trauma, foster care, ADHD, depression, child development, and behavioral and social challenges. Alyssa’s goal is to work alongside you, meet you where you are at, and then figure out the best path forward.
