Susan Williams has been a therapist for 30 years. She received her Masters of Social Work degree from the University of Michigan in 1989. Susan works with adults, couples and families. Susan has a wealth of clinical experience in the following treatment settings: private practice; outpatient group practice working with a lage psychiatric team of doctors; residential settings; psychiatric inpatient and partial day treatment hospital programs. She provides tools and practical solutions for improving communication skills; coping, anger and stress management skills; self esteem and self confidence; boundary setting skills; and relationship development. Susan treats all clinical issues including: depression; bi-polar disorder; anxiety and panic attacks; post-traumatic stress disorder; military issues; stress and anger management issues; sexuality; gender identity; gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender/queer issues; child abuse and trauma issues; work stress or job loss; grief and loss and marital or partner issues.  Susan’s approach of therapy is solution-focused and cognitively based. She uses a team approach with all of her clients. She strives to help clients reach the peace, happiness and outcomes they are looking for in a caring and supportive way.
