Amy Zauel is a Licensed Master Social Worker with over 25 years of experience. She graduated in 1994 from Grand Valley State University. Amy enjoys working with adults, children, teens and families. She specializes in adoption-related issues, infertility, anxiety, depression, trauma and child behavioral issues. She offers traditional talk therapy, family therapy, play therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, client-centered therapy, post-adoption therapy and mindfulness. For 24 years Amy has provided both adoption and post-adoption counseling services. She works with individuals or couples who are struggling with infertility as well as those considering adoption as a way to expand their family. Amy also works with individuals who are considering relinquishment or who have relinquished a child for adoption, children who have been adopted and are questioning their identities and how they fit in, as well as adult adoptees who are curious about their unknown past.  Amy provides a safe and caring environment for healing to occur in these areas, as well as assisting people of all ages to navigate this very difficult  journey.

​ Amy has much expertise in the area of parent training and education. Aware of how difficult parenting can be she offers tools and resources that can greatly assist parents, single parents, blended families, family members or care givers in raising children and teens in this very difficult season of life.

​Children and teens often face family and behavioral challenges; school stress; peer struggles; identity and self esteem issues; social media pressures and relationship strains and complications. Young adults face similar experiences  as well as stress in navigating through career and school choices and decisions. Adults struggle with the daily stressors of parenting, employment, relationship issues and just coping in this ever changing world. Amy's compassionate and caring approach helps to put her clients at ease, allowing them to feel comfortable in addressing these struggles and challenges.
